I hear them
on the radio, sending waves of light flashing across the globe—
gossamer threads traced upon the ancient astrolabe.
I see them
on television, resplendent in all the Technicolor brilliance
made possible by a cathode ray tube near you.
I feel them
through the haze of twenty-first century post-modern,
     Silicone Valley digitally-enhanced,
     attention-deficit phenylketoneuric,
     soy latte, blue Lake #40
ennui
that my generation latches onto with the same enthusiasm
with which my grandparents' generation sucked in the noxious fumes
of pre-embargo Cuban cigars
and industrial-green lead paint.

Draco and Ginny. Cover art for a fic I will never, ever finish, ever. Sketched during a boring biopsych class, cleaned up and coloured in Photoshop. Draco looks kind of funny. First attempt at drawing profile. Ginny's head is also slightly too long. I like Ginny's hair, but Draco's hair is v. strange. Legs are much too long, but . . . I kind of like the effect. *shrugs* Title lifted from Virgil, the latter half of a more famous quotation: "Omnia vincit amor et nos cedamus amori." Love conquers all and we must yield to it.

Just goregeous! The pose is just so innocent and sweet. I like the quote as well.
